Analytics
I use Fathom Analytics on my website, a privacy-friendly analytics service, to understand user behaviour and improve my website.
Fathom Analytics collects data using an anonymised method.
Instead of cookies or other tracking technologies that collect personal data, Fathom uses a script-based counting pixel that anonymously records basic information such as page views, time spent on page, and referrer data.
This data is processed in aggregated form and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual visitors.
As part of the use of Fathom Analytics, I have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Fathom Analytics. This agreement ensures that the data of my visitors is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and that all necessary measures are taken to protect this data.
The collection and processing of data by Fathom Analytics takes place exclusively on my behalf and in accordance with my instructions.
Further information on Fathom Analytics' data protection practices can be found at usefathom.com.
If you have any questions about the use of Fathom Analytics on my website, please feel free to contact me.
Integration of GSAP via the "unpkg" CDN
Type and Scope of Data Processing
We use the JavaScript library "GSAP" (GreenSock Animation Platform) on our website to display interactive and engaging animations. To deliver this library quickly and reliably, we use the content delivery network (CDN) "unpkg".
When you access our website, your browser downloads the required GSAP files directly from unpkg's servers. In doing so, your browser establishes a direct connection to the CDN's servers. During this process, your IP address is transmitted to unpkg, as the service would otherwise be unable to send the requested content to your browser. In addition, further connection data (such as browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL, and date and time of the server request) is typically recorded on the server side.
Purpose of Data Processing
DThe use of unpkg and GSAP serves the purpose of optimising our website's loading times, reducing the load on our own servers, and enabling a visually appealing, smooth presentation of our online offering.
Legal Basis
The legal basis for the use of this service is our legitimate interest in a secure, efficient, and appealing provision of our online offering pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Further Information on the Provider
unpkg is an open-source project. The technical infrastructure for routing and caching is often provided via the cloud service provider Cloudflare. Further information on data protection and how unpkg works can be found at https://unpkg.com/.
